Dahlias. My favorite. If you can catch a ride out to a dahlia farm (there are some in Canby I believe) you will have so much to work with. If that is too much go to the Beaverton Farmer's Market on Saturday and find the dahlia booth and ask them to photograph their buckets of flowers.
